hardy, upright-spreading to spreading, weak to moderately vigorous; leaves:
oblique, serrate to double serrate, underside slightly hairy, apex acuminate to cuspidate,
base oblique, length : width ratio 1.53, petioles 2.5 to 4 cm long.

characteristics: usually medium size (average 129 g), flat to
oblate-conic; basin: wrinkled, medium depth and width; calyx: partly open to open, lobes
persistent and erect to recurved, calyx tube urn-shaped, stamens in median position;
cavity: acute to acuminate, deep, medium width, russeted; stem: usually medium length but
occasionally long, medium diameter; core: open, in median position, with clasping core
lines; carpels: 20 mm height, 22 mm width; skin: waxy, medium thickness, washed
pinkish-red to dark red with some striping over greenish-yellow ground, with a high number
of conspicuous medium size lenticels; flesh: firm, crisp, juicy, creamy-white to
yellowish-white with a red tinge near the skin and prominent green dots around the core,
average amount of discoloration after cutting; flavor: aromatic, sweet, with a nice amount
of tartness, very pleasant; end use: good for fresh eating; ripens early October
(Frelighsburg, QC).
- Post Harvest,
storage: good shelf-life, after 2 months in cold storage: fruit quality is
good to very good, taste is sweet, very aromatic and very good; after 4.5 months in
regular cold room: fruit is firm (pressure test: 6.32 kg), juicy, melting but texture is a
bit granular, eating quality is average to good, acidity is very low (0.1916 %), soluble
solids are high (13.7 %), juice is orange-salmon color becoming light orange-amber after a
few minutes, good yield of juice.

characteristics: Diseases and disorders: resistant to bitter pit and water
core, resistant to apple scab.
- Adaptation &
availability: Good for
Quebec and Eastern and Central Canada. A limited number of budwood is available from the
breeder after signing a non-propagation agreement (only to universities and research
stations).
