leaves: elliptic, double serrate with fine teeth, underside smooth, apex acuminate to
cuspidate, base cuneate to obtuse, length : width ratio 1.85, petioles 2.5 to 3.5 cm long
with small stipules when young.

characteristics: Attractive, medium size, average 138 g, conic to
oblong-conic; basin: deep; calyx: closed; cavity: very deep; stem: medium length to long,
medium diameter; core: closed; carpels: 15 mm height, 18 mm width; skin: solid red to dark
red over creamy orange-yellow ground, no russeting, very small lenticels; flesh: firm,
crisp, creamy-white, with red dots around the core, slow to brown after cutting; flavor:
aromatic; ripens October 3 (Frelighsburg, QC).

storage: after 2.5 months in cold storage: fruit quality is good, fruit is
firm; after 5 months in regular cold room: fruit is moderately firm, acidity is low
(0.3484 %), soluble solids are average (11.6 %), juice is orange salmon with a pink hue.

characteristics: Diseases and disorders: not susceptible to water core and
bitter pit, resistant to apple scab.

availability: Good for Quebec and
Eastern and Central Canada. A limited number of budwood is available from the breeder
