elliptic, serrate to sometimes double serrate, underside hairy, apex acuminate, base
obtuse, length : width ratio 1.71, petioles 2.5 to 3.5 cm long.

characteristics: medium size to large, average 177 g, round-conic to
oblate, with slight ribbing; basin: narrow, medium depth to deep, crowned to wrinkled,
slightly russeted; calyx: usually open, sometimes closed, small size, lobes are persistent
and recurved, calyx tube is funnel-shaped; cavity: medium depth, russeted; stem: short to
long, medium width, some of the fruits have flesh attaching to the stem on one side; core:
in median position, partially open, with clasping core lines; carpels: 25 mm height, 12 mm
width; skin: medium thick, 50 to 90 % covered with pinkish-red to dark red with some
striping, with a low number of small to large lenticels and moderate bloom; flesh:
moderately juicy, firm, creamy-white with a tinge of yellow, crisp, very slow to brown
after cutting; flavor: aromatic, good, sweet; end use: very good for fresh eating; ripens
September 22 (Frelighsburg, QC).

storage: after 5.5 months in regular cold room: fruit is firm (pressure
test: 6.56 kg) and still crisp, acidity is low (0.3015 %), soluble solids are average
(12.4 %), juice is clear with small beige and yellow particles.

characteristics: Diseases and disorders: not susceptible to storage
disorders, susceptible to apple scab.

availability: Good for Quebec and Eastern and Central Canada. A limited
number of budwood is available from the breeder after signing a non-propagation agreement
(only to universities and research stations).
