Li Fan is a visiting scholar from P. R. China. She
did her Ph. D. on the genome structure changes of ‘Yali’ Pear
polyploidization and cloning of specific fragments and molecular markers
on pear germplasm classification, at the Research Institute of Pomology,
ChineseAcademy of Agricultural
Sciences, under the supervision of Professor Chengquan Fang.
As a
part of her Ph. D. program, she has been working at the Fruit Breeding
and Physiology laboratory (Jan 2009 to Jan 2011) under the supervision
of Dr. Shahrokh Khanizadeh, at the Horticulture Research and Development
Center of Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada on “Effect of cultural
practices on fruit quality, shelf life and phenolic composition” and
“Influence of arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (AMF) on plant growth and
fruit quality of selected strawberry lines under salinity stress”.
